Getting any dog and especially a hunting dog is an important process so I wanted to walk you through the entire process of getting a good puppy and ending up with a good and maybe even a great hunting dog. This is for those people that have the time and experience to work with their own hunting dog. Of course you can also get help with the training and that is what Rehberger’s Bird Dogs is here for.
For those that want to get started right away the next couple sentences are very important. You can start by getting any Labrador retriever out there and spend as little as $250-300! Unfortunately you will most likely have no idea of lineage or potential future health issues. Those who want to help ensure years of great hunting with a healthy dog will invest one thousand to twenty five hundred dollars to get a puppy with a pedigree or history of good bird dogs and good companion dogs. Keep this very important tip in mind while choosing your bird dog – in most cases the past is often an indication of the future! As is often the case in life you get what you pay for and this is especially true when investing in your new hunting partner so be sure to deal with a reputable breeder/trainer.
At Rehberger’s Bird Dogs our number one stud dog (sire) “Rebel” and of course our dam “Susie” each have excellent blood lines as you will see when reviewing their pedigrees and the history of Mayo Kellogg’s Kennel and Helm’s Point Doctor, (link to our history page). While you are looking take a look at our other breeding options as well. It takes a good stud and dam to get great puppies and we have them both. (Link to Breeding options page)
Now for the fun part, let’s look at the great fox red and yellow Labradors puppies that we currently have available. You can view them on our puppy page at www.minnesotadogbreeder.com (link) or on our Facebook page which is updated regularly so be sure to like the page and check back frequently. You will notice that we have a variety of new puppies to choose from including very red puppies, medium red and pretty yellow ones. We have both male and female puppies available and they vary quite a bit in size and personalities. So be sure to contact us right away if you are interested to ensure that you get first choice of these excellent hunting dogs.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook as we will be walking you through the puppy stages over the next few weeks starting with week one and going through all eight weeks. At this time you will typically pick up your puppy and start the training process to getting a great hunting dog and companion. Our current litter is four weeks old so you will learn some very interesting tidbits over the next few weeks about your new hunting dog and then the training fun begins. With only a few weeks left be sure to call us today to reserve your new hunting dog and get the pick of the litter.
